For the Olympic Games that brought all of Canada together, a slogan to do the same
The challenge from VANOC (the Vancouver 2010 Organizing Committee of the Olympic Games) was huge: bring "all of the Canadas" together into "one Canada." We began by turning to our anthem, and borrowing some of the powerful language that brings all Canadians to their feet. But then we had to sell it to the International Olympic Committee, which had never in the history of the Games adopted a bilingual slogan.
